Deadline to register for Dhiraagu Road Race extended

The registration period for Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race 2023 has been extended.

As per Dhiraagu the registration deadline for the road race has been extended to allow more people to participate, at the request of the public.

Registration for the race was previously scheduled for August 30 but has now been extended until this coming Tuesday.

This year’s iteration of the Dhiraagu Road Race is scheduled to be held on October 27.

Dhiraagu said that this race is the first and only international race in Maldives to bring together people and communities from different parts of the country. In addition, it is listed on the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running Calendar with a World Athletics Certified race route.

This year's event will give participants the opportunity to run a half marathon in the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race for the first time. The event will also feature a new running route and a variety of new activities with bigger cash prizes than ever before, Dhiraagu said.

Dhiraagu road race is, as always, held under their Corporate Social Responsibilities and its theme is to protect and safeguard children just like other years. Dhiraagu said that NGOs working in the field of child protection will have the opportunity to raise awareness and fundraise at the event.
