Application for MTCP scholarship opens for Maldivians

Application for the Malaysian Technical Corporation Programme (MTCP) sponsored by the Malaysian government has been opened for Maldivians.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, masters degree programmes are to be conducted.  

The ministry stated via Twitter, “We are pleased to announce the opportunity to apply for the partially funded Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2023 Deadline to submit applications: 30th June  2023.”

 This scholarship covers tuition fees and other allowances. The duration for the award is between 24-36 months.

Eligibility criteria for the scholarship states that applicant must be an international student from an MTCP recipient country, and being no more than 45 years at the time of application.

Additional educational qualifications that must be met are specified as well. This includes a minimum GPA of 3.50 at undergraduate level and certain English language requirements as well.

The Higher Education ministry asked interested applicants to email the endorsement form to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by June 22, to be endorsed.

Furthermore, the ministry urged those chosen to ensure that the institute that offers their programme is an MQA accepted one.
