MACL sponsors Hajj trip for five employees

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has presented sponsor letters to five employees whom the company will be sponsoring Hajj trips for this year.

The sponsor letters were presented during a special ceremony held on Thursday at Hulhule’ Island Hotel.

MACL’s CEO, Managing Director Mahjoob Shujau presented the sponsor letters to the five employees.

MACL’s Spokesperson told Sun that sponsorship was provided annually to select employees before the COVID-19 pandemic.  Therewith, the sponsorship is resuming after four years this year.

The Spokesperson said that the five spots were reserved for MACL by the Islamic Ministry from the Hajj quota received this year.

MACL detailed that the employees were selected based on the length of time they have been with the company and those who meet the requirements laid down by the company’s policies. This had been the process followed during the previous years as well.
