Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded projects to develop harbors in F. Nilandhoo and F. Bilehdhoo.
The agreements were signed by Planning Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed and MTCC’s CEO Adam Azim on Wednesday.
The project in Bilehdhoo involves:
- Harbor basin dredging operations of 45,100 cubic meters
- Channel dredging operations of 2,900 cubic meters
- Construction of a 419-meter breakwater
- Construction of a 620-meter revetment
- Construction of a 258-meter sand filled breakwater outer revetment
- Construction of a 224-meter sand filled breakwater inner revetment
- Construction of a ramp
- Construction of a concrete jetty
- Installation of harbor lights
- Construction of 2,977 square meter pavement and 617-meter curbs
The value of the project is MVR 66.96 million.
MTCC is required to complete the project in 450 days.
The project in Nilandhoo involves:
- Harbor basin dredging operations of 55,141 cubic meters
- Channel dredging operations of 6,933 cubic meters
- Construction of a 261-meter breakwater
- Construction of a 75-meter revetment
- Construction of a 194-meter sand filled breakwater outer revetment
- Construction of a 188-meter sand filled breakwater inner revetment
- Construction of a 237-meter quay wall
- Installation of mooring buoys
- Construction of a ramp
- Construction of a concrete bridge
- Installation of harbor lights
- Installation of 1,151 square meter harbor pavement and 204-meter curbs
The value of the project is MVR 61.75 million.
MTCC is required to complete the project in 510 days.
