Manadhoo woman stabbed to death

Sun can confirm through reliable sources that the woman who was discovered dead in N. Manadhoo late Friday evening had been stabbed to death.

Naeema Mossa, 62, Annaarumaage, N. Manadhoo was discovered dead late Friday evening. Her body was discovered inside her room after officers forced down the door.

Naeema lives alone in a home in Manadhoo. Police attended to her home after her family filed a report with the authority at approximately 6:13pm on Friday evening prompted by a period of no contact. She is a sweeper employed by Manadhoo Council. Two days have passed since she had not reported to work or gotten in contact with anyone.

A reliable source confirmed to Sun that Naeema was attacked with a knife.

Police have begun monitoring movement to and from Manadhoo over Naeema’s death. The case is under investigation by the Police’s Serious and Organized Crimes Department of which a team has now departed to Manadhoo for investigation.
