Tree Top Hospital opens new clinic in Male’

The Tree Top Hospital (TTH) has opened a new clinic in Male’ City.

The TTH Clinic, located at Ma. Champa Villa, was opened by Health Minister Ahmed Naseem in a ceremony Wednesday. He was joined by TTH’s CEO Adil Moosa and Managing Director Ahmed Nazeer.

Adil said the clinic was opened to expand TTH’s services in Male’.

He said the services from the clinic will be of the same quality and at the same rates as that offered from the hospital in Hulhumale’.

The clinic will mainly offer physiotherapy services, rehabilitation services, and some laboratory services.

“In addition to this, we also offer sports therapy at the clinic – a service we have yet to start at the Tree Top Hospital. Therefore, this clinic will provide all rehabilitation services provided by the Tree Top Hospital’s Physiotherapy Department, as well as additional service, and offer greater convenience to this hospital’s patients,” he said.

Adil said the clinic will also offer speech therapy and occupational therapy.

Speaking at the ceremony, TTH’s MD Nazeer said described the opening of the clinic as an advancement of the TTH’s contribution to healthcare services.

He also called for greater support from the government for such initiatives by the private sector.

In his speech, Health Minister Naseem thanked TTH for its contribution to the healthcare sector. He provided assurance the government would help solve issues faced by the private sector in providing healthcare services.

“This is of great importance. I believe our administration should facilitate the private sector and issuance of permits they need. We plan on holding a meeting with all private sector healthcare providers mid-year to discuss the issues they face,” he said.

TTH opened in Hulhumale’ on March 1, 2018. The 210-bed hospital is equipped with modern equipment and offers high-quality services.
