A private company has been contracted to complete the unfinished works at Dh. Maaenboodhoo School multipurpose hall building.
The agreement pertaining to the project was signed during a special ceremony held at Education Ministry. Senior Policy Director Moosa Naeem represented by the Ministry, while Director Ahmed Rameez represented Swift Engineering Private Limited, the company contracted the work.
Education Ministry said that the project valued at MVR 10.9 million must be completed in the course of one year.
Maaenboodhoo Council’s President Ahmed Ghassan briefed Sun on the difficulties faced at Maaenboodhoo School over the lack of a multipurpose hall following the execution of the agreement.
In this regard, he detailed difficulties in holding assembly as the school operates on one session. Additionally, he also noted difficulties in conducting extracurricular activities.
Ghassan said that Maaenboodhoo residents were extremely content with the fact that unfinished work at the multipurpose hall has finally been contracted to a party.
