BroadCom’s Vice President Gais resigns from post

Maldives Broadcasting Commission’s (BroadCom) Vice President Ahmed Gais has resigned from the post.

A member of BroadCom confirmed to Sun that Gais resigned from the post sometime on Sunday. Sun has learned that Gais resigned from the post for personal reasons.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Gais to BroadCom on December 5, 2019.

Following the resignation of Gais, the composition of BroadCom stands as follows;

• Mariyam Waheeda, President
• Amjadh Yoosuf, Member
• Ali Yoosuf, Member
• Aminath Ameena, Member
• Mohamed Fazeen, Member
• Shifla Ibrahim, Member

Sun has also learned that an appointment will be made for the vacant post at BroadCom sometime tomorrow.
