Some of the developmental work on the island includes airport development and water and sewerage network projects.

This discussion covered topics such as renovation of the eastern harbour, expanding land in the industrial zone, developing a social centre, and expediting the hospital project.

The WDC members in addition to addressing the increasing number of cases of cancer in the island also raised concerns related to the management of waste generated at the boatyard on the island.

Speaking at the meeting, President Solih revealed that funds had been secured for the hospital project and briefed on the progress of the administration's developmental work on the island.
