A team from Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) visited Fiyavathi last week, and discussed areas of support for the state-run children’s shelter in Hulhumale’.
The team from MIFCO visited the shelter on Thursday, as part of the celebrations for the company’s upcoming 29th anniversary. They were welcomed by Fiyavathi's Deputy Director Mohamed Shafeeq.
During the visit, the team, including MIFCO’s Deputy CEO Ibrahim Azhan, CFO Ilyas Haneef, general managers, and additional officials took part in Fiyavathi’s Sports Day events and donated books and additional resources to the shelter.
The Sports Day events included races and the sponge pass game. Both MIFCO and Fiyavathi staff took part in the three-legged race.
MIFCO also engaged in discussions with Fiyavathi regarding additional areas of support to the shelter.
MIFCO sites across the Maldives are holding multiple CSR events to celebrate its upcoming anniversary.
MIFCO was established in 1993 to process and export fish.
