Five minors arrested for assault at Carnival area

Five kids have been arrested under suspicion of attacking a man with a sharp object at the Carnival area.

Commissioner of Police Abdullah Riyaz said in a Tweet that all five arrested for this crime, which took place yesterday, are below 18 years of age.

Police have informed that out of the five kids, two are aged 16, two 17, and one 15.

The stab victim was a 22-year-old person, who has been treated at ADK Hospital.

There has been an upsurge in assault incidents in Male’ in recent months, including the murder of Former Ungoofaaru MP Dr Afrasheem Ali in October.
