Last month

Revenue for Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) for the month of November 2012, compared to the month of October 2012, has gone down by MVR 21.5 million.

According to the statistics made public by MIRA, its revenue last month totaled MVR403.5 million. In October it had earned MVR382 million which shows a reduction of MVR21.5 million. However, in comparison to November last year,this is a 29 percent increase.

Statistics show that MIRA had earned MVR2.7 million last month and a total of MVR794.3 million this year from Tourism Land Rent.

It also shows that the authority had earned until the end of November, MVR1.4 billion as Business Profit Tax (BPT) and MVR2.3 billion as Goods and Services Tax (GST). It had also earned MVR737.1 million as Tourism Tax (bed tax).

MIRA has earned a total of MVR6.5 billion within the period of first 10 months this year.
