Adam Naaish Naseem has been awarded the Ahmadhiyya International School’s Best All-Around Student of the last academic year.
Ahmadhiyya held its Secondary Prize Day 2022 at Dharubaaruge on Sunday evening. Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali attended the ceremony as chief guest.
The ceremony saw presentation of awards to students who scored high in the SSC and Cambridge O-levels last year, and students who ranked in world top 10.
Four students from Ahmadhiyya ranked top ten in Maldives in O-levels last year; Naaish, Layaan Mohamed Rasheed, Nabeeha Yauqoob, and Razzan Ibrahim Rasheed.
Meanwhile, Abbad Ahmed ranked 10th in the world in Travel and Tourism, Naaish ranked top in Maldives in Business Studies, and Anjal Mohamed Ageel won the award for Ahmadhiyya’s Best Student in Studies – Secondary.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ahmadhiyya’s Principal Mohamed Rasheed said education is an important part of life, and encouraged students to pursue higher studies.
He said that Maldives is hungry for an educated, skilled and capable generation, who can take Maldives to new heights.
“I therefore call upon you to pursue higher education in various fields and serve the nation,” he said.
Mohamed Rasheed said Ahmadhiyya is based on the vision of building the future leaders of Maldives.
