Fathimath Nafha has been crowned the best all-around higher secondary student at Ahmadhiyya International School in the academic year 2020-2021.
Ahmadhiyya held its 2022 higher secondary prize day Friday night.
The prize for the best all-rounder was presented by State Minister for Education Dr. Abdulla Rasheed.
178 students from Ahmadhiyya sat the Edexcel A-level exams held in 2021. Ahmadhiyya said the students achieved the best-ever results in the school’s history.
50 of the school’s students ranked on the national top ten. 11 ranked top ten globally on various subjects.

Ahmadhiyya said 12 of their students won the high achiever’s scholarship and had begun their higher studies. Ahmadhiyya said it was a matter of great pride to the school.

Speaking during Friday’s ceremony, Ahmadhiyya’s principal Mohamed Rasheed said last academic year’s track record showed it was the school’s most successful year yet.
He credited the hardworking teachers of the school for the achievement.
Rasheed said that teaching was not just a passion, must something the school’s teachers spent most of their time and energy on.
“The hard work by teachers to secure more success for Ahmadhiyya’s students in the global stage is a far greater service than I can thank for in mere words. You are the people who are helping this school’s name shine in Maldives and across the world,” he said.
Rasheed encouraged the students to keep pursuing studies in their field of interest and achieve greater success.
