Four minors have been charged in connection to the stabbing and murder of a young man in Feydhoo district of Addu City in early June.
Mohamed Zayan Moosa, 21, Solid, S. Feydhoo, was stabbed multiple times in a gang fight that broke out in Feydhoo district at approximately 03:00 am on June 1.
He died a couple of hours after he was taken to the Addu Equatorial Hospital.
Prosecutor General’s Office (PG Office), on Sunday, said that four minors arrested in connection the to the case have been charged.
They detailed that one of the minors was charged with intentional murder using a sharp object – whilst the remaining three were charged with aiding and abetting in an intentional murder using a sharp object. Two from the three minors pleaded guilty, and requested diversion agreements for relief, which they were granted.
PG Office added that police investigations against five adults who were arrested in connection the case were still ongoing – with the Office have granted an extension to the investigation period in light of the work pending.
All four minors and five adults arrested remain in custody.
