Registries of 98 vehicles terminated again

Transport Ministry has terminated the registries of 98 vehicles for illegal registration.

The Ministry said that registries of the vehicles were terminated upon taking note of them being registered in violation of the stipulated regulations. The Ministry had publicized the termination of registries of these 98 vehicles on the government gazette.

Vehicles which the registries have been terminated, as per the Ministry, includes vehicles that had been registered after it had reached the maximum allowed period of registration in the Maldives and vehicles that have been illegally registered to the Male’ zone.

The announcement by Transport Ministry specifies the registry numbers of the vehicles the registries have been terminated.

Transport Ministry had announced the termination of the registries of 50 vehicles on September 27 similarly, including vehicles that had been registered after it had reached the maximum allowed period of registration in the Maldives and vehicles that have been illegally registered to the Male’ zone.
