SATA 2022: Maldives wins 21 gold awards, nine silver awards

Maldives has won 30 awards at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA), the premier travel and tourism award in the South Asia region.

The SATA 2022 gala held at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi on Friday night saw the presentation of 106 awards; 44 gold awards, 48 silver awards, and six visitor’s choice awards.

Maldives won 30 awards, including 21 gold awards and nine silver awards.

SATA also presented six visitor’s choice awards. Maldives won Leading Honeymoon Destination, while India won Leading Heritage Destination and Leading MICE Destination.

Nepal won Leading Adventure Destination, Bangladesh won Emerging Destination, and SriLankan Airlines – the national airline of Sri Lanka – won Leading International Airline.
