Two arrested for attack on three police officers

Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the attack on police officers near Euro Store in Majeedhee Magu in the capital of Maldives, Male’ City.

A Police Spokesperson told Sun that three police officers sustained injuries to various degrees in the attack, out of which one officer was being treated for injuries at ADK Hospital.

Two suspects were arrested in connection to the case on late Friday morning, at approximately 11:50am.

“The case is under further investigation by the police,” the Spokesperson stressed.

A video showing the attack on police officers had gone viral on social media. In the video, police officers are shown carrying a motorist who had fallen off a motorcycle to an ambulance.
