Our aim is to produce a generation of well rounded, highly educated young people who can contribute meaningfully to nation building.
To provide the opportunity to attain one’s first degree free of charge is an electoral pledge of President Solih, under which the free degree program commenced in early 2019.
The free degree program is implemented by two state universities; Maldives National University (MNU) and Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) – alongside some private colleges.
