Preparations have concluded to begin classes next Sunday in the first school built in Hulhumale Phase II,
The project to build ‘Ahmed Kamil Didi Primary School’ was handed over to SJ Construction by Hulhumale Development Corporation (HDC) in March 2021.
As per the Ministry of Education, all work at the Kamil Didi Primary School has been completed, and classes will commence on Sunday, September 4.
Despite being contracted to complete the project within 160 days, due to delays in receiving materials from abroad, it was unfinished by the time the new academic year began.
Due to this, the students registered at the school had been accommodated at other schools in Hulhumale.
Though the students are going to Huravee School, Rehendhi School and Gazee School, they are attending in Kamil Didi School uniforms.
SJ Construction has previously noted that the school was built to be fully accessible to differently-abled students as well. It has a total of 24 classrooms.
