JP: Government will assist those impacted by wave surges

Jumhooree Party (JP) stated that they have a full assurance that the government will be providing assistance to those impacted by the wave surges being experienced across Maldives, in a timely manner.

Due to the weather currently experienced in Maldives, some of the islands have sustained irrevocable damages.

Maldives National Disaster Management (MNDM), island councils, and Maldives Police Service have been working together to provide assistance to those who need it.

In a statement released by the party, it stated that the party joins those who have suffered.

It also noted that this was the time to check on others and support the efforts by authorities to help those who are affected.

“JP has every assurance that the authorities will help those who are impacted by this incident in a timely manner.”

Moreover, the statement urged those who are travelling, especially since it is the school holidays to follow the guidelines set by authorities.
