STO opens Makita Showroom

State Trading Organization (STO) has opened a showroom for Makita – a leading global power tool brand – in Male’ City.

The showroom, located on the ground floor of the Sea Tracs Building, offers customers Makita power tools and equipment ranging from industrial, outdoor, household, and more, as well as spare parts and aftersales services.

The showroom was opened by STO’s CEO and Managing Director Hussain Amr Mohamed Rashad and Makita Singapore’s Assistant General Manager Ikeda San.

Speaking at the ceremony, STO’s Sales Assistant Noor Ahmed said STO opened the showroom to meet customer demand.

Makita Singapore’s Regional Sales manager Pramod Chandran said Makita products were environmentally friendly products, suitable for Maldives’ fragile environment.

“…And one of the biggest priorities of Makita is the safety and protection of customers. Some 20,000 people die due to exposure to construction dust each year. Makita products manage dust,” he said.

Makita products were introduced in Maldives 25 years ago, and is now one of the most popular power tool brands in the country.

STO’s Makita brand products are available from STO People’s Choice in Male’ City, as well as the company’s regional outlets.
