First couple attends ‘Food & Beverage show 2022’

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Saturday night attended the ongoing Food & Beverage Show 2022.

During their visit, the first couple toured the stalls, and even purchased and tasted some of the items on display.

Prior to this on Friday night, Vice President Faisal Naseem also attended the show, where he too toured and purchased items from various stalls.

The show organized by Highrise was held from June 2 to 4 at the Central Park, Hulhumale’. It was inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism Dr Abdulla Mausoon.

A total of 30 participants took part in the fifth edition of this event.

Speaking at the launching event, Minister Mausoon said that food suppliers played a vital role in the everyday lives and tourism industry.

The show brings together the food and beverage industry and will attack local and international attendees from resorts, hotels, guest houses, liveaboards, restaurants, food and beverage wholesalers, culinary experts, and more.

The Sales and Marketing Director Mariyam Maaisha said that the purpose of this exhibition was to provide an opportunity for those working in the food and beverage industry to showcase their products.
