Hajj Corporation opens application for their 100 slots

Hajj Corporation has officially opened to apply for their 100 quotas.

The corporation stated that applications will be accepted from Monday, May 30 till June 2, every day from 01:00 PM till 06:00 PM at the Islamic Ministry.

Those sending applications via email are asked to send the applications to the Hajj Corporations email, before the deadline of June 2.

The Hajj Corporation stated that from all the applicants that meet all criteria, a draw will be taken for 100 slots.

Additionally, 25 more names will be drawn for a waiting list.

Under the Hajj Corperations’ quota, MVR 76,960.00 is will be charged per person.

For this year, the government granted permission only to the Hajj Corporation to take people to perform hajj.

The Islamic Ministry has previously stated that this was due to a lack of time to evaluate proposals from private groups to take people to hajj.

Unlike previous years, the number of slots given for hajj is generally low for all the countries. Maldives received only 453 quotas in total for this year.
