Islamic Ministry contracts party for mosque worth over MVR 14M in Kurendhoo

Islamic Ministry, on Wednesday, has contracted a party for the development of a mosque worth over MVR 14 million at Lh. Kurendhoo.

The Ministry had contracted local constructions company, Mims Construction for the project.

At a ceremony held at Islamic Ministry today, the agreement pertaining to the project was signed by Islamic Ministry Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali and Mims Construction’s Managing Director Saudhulla Hilmy.

The project was awarded to the company to be completed within a period of 360 days – and is valued at MVR 14,231,686.04.

Speaking at the agreement execution ceremony – Islamic Minister Zahir requested the contractor to complete the project within the stipulated time period. He also assured that the Ministry would provide any assistance required in the course of the project.

Responding to Minister Zahir’s request – Mims Construction’s Managing Director Saudhulla gave assurance that the project will be carried out and completed in accordance with the contract.

The mosque being developed at Kurendhoo will accommodate 700 worshippers; being both males and females.
