Tree Top Hospital introduces Sleep and Snoring Clinic services

Tree Top Hospital has introduced Sleep and Snoring Clinic services to help treat patients with various sleep disorders.

Sleep apnea, which occurs when a person's airway closes briefly while sleeping and can cause snoring, is one such disorder. The most common type is obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

The main symptoms of sleep apnea include, breathing stopping and starting during sleep, gasping, snoring noises while sleeping and feeling tired during the day. Snoring occurs when an individual's tongue, mouth, throat, or airways in the nose vibrate while breathing. It is important to consult if any of these symptoms are present, as sleep apnea can be serious if it remains undiagnosed and untreated.

Tree Top Hospital’s Sleep and Snoring Clinic, in addition to diagnosing a patient’s symptoms, also offers further investigations depending on their severity.

Services at the Sleep and Snoring Clinic are provided by Tree Top Hospital’s Respiratory Department, headed by Dr. Ragulan Rajalingam.

Rajalingam, Consultant Respiratory Medicine, specializes in respiratory medicine, and has over 10 years of experience in the medical field.

He also serves as an Associate Professor at the Chettinad Medical College & Research Institute, India and is a member of European Respiratory Society (ERS).

Tree Top Hospital states it is dedicated to providing the highest quality of clinical care for all patients, with the help of experienced and highly trained specialists.
