Japanese Ambassador calls on Vice President

The Ambassador of Japan to Maldives Takeuchi Modori on Monday paid a courtesy call on H.E. Vice President Faisal Naseem.

During the meeting held at the President's Office, the Ambassador and Vice President spoke regarding the longstanding bonds of friendship between Japan and Maldives. 

The Vice President further stated that Maldives has an excellent working relationship with Japan and recalled that Japan has been a reliable developmental partner for the Maldives.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador said that economic diversification, the environment, climate change and disaster management are critical focus areas in working with Maldives.

In addition to this VP Naseem extended his gratitude to the Japanese government for its continuous assistance to the Maldives.
