Minister of Finance Abdullah Jihad has said that the recommendations proposed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be presented to the Parliament together with the state budget for 2013.
In response to a question by Sun Online, Jihad said stressed the importance of immediate execution of IMF's recommendations. He said that most of them, however, require Parliament approval.
IMF's suggestions include increasing tourism taxes, restricting the amount of dollar that can be exchanged by tourist resorts, reducing the size of the civil service, and controlling subsidies - some of which must be passed by the Parliament before they can be enforced.
The budget for next year will be presented to the Parliament at the end of November.
