Speaker Nasheed to take official trip to Sri Lanka

Parliament Speaker, former President Mohamed Nasheed is scheduled to depart on an official visit to neighboring Sri Lanka. 

According to the Parliament, Nasheed is travelling to Sri Lanka at the invitation of the country’s Youth Minister Namal Rajapaksa. 

He will depart to Sri Lanka on Sunday and return on Tuesday. 

Nasheed is scheduled to attend second session of the fifth Sri Lanka Youth Parliament as chief guest – a session organized by the National Youth Services Council to teach Sri Lankan youth leadership skills. 

He will also meet top Sri Lankan government officials and investors during the visit.
