Two injured in marine accident off Vilimale’

Two people have been hospitalized with injuries following a collision between a speedboat and dinghy off the southern coast of suburban Vilimale’. 

Police said the accident was reported to the authorities at 06:50 pm on Wednesday. 

Police identified the people injured in the accident as two males. 

They were taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’ City for treatment, said the police. 

The dinghy sank after the collision. Police have advised seafarers traveling in the area to be cautious.
