Maldives and Singapore have established a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL), which will allow passengers who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine to travel from Maldives to Singapore without being subject to quarantine.

Maldivian Transport Ministry announced on Tuesday that the arrangement was made following discussions by Maldivian Transport Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Health Ministry with the Singapore Transport Ministry.

Transport Ministry said that fully vaccinated passengers will be able to travel from Maldives to Singapore under the VTL starting Thursday, December 16.

“All Maldivians who have a digital vaccine certificate issued by the Health Protection Agency can travel on designated VTL flights with proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test,” said the Transport Ministry in its statement.

Application for VTL service can be submitted online to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore.
