Ooredoo Maldives has commenced the construction of its new headquarters.
The construction of the new building – located near Central Park in suburban Hulhumale’ - was inaugurated by Ooredoo’s CEO and Managing Director Najib Khan and Board directors on Sunday morning.
Speaking at the ceremony, Khan said that the new building was a long-held dream of the company’s employees.
“It's been 16 years of successful journey contributing to the community, innovation for technologies in the Maldives. And this building too is also an environment friendly building, with rain water harvesting, energy saving facility. It’s a building that we are dreaming of and we are hoping this will be a good iconic monument here in Hulhumale' Phase I. There will be more investment for sure in this city,” he said.
Khan said Ooredoo the 11-story building will also have a recreational center, café, meeting room and a seminar hall.
The construction of the Ooredoo building was contracted to China State Construction Engineering.
