Ooredoo signs as digital partner for Maldives Jet Ski Tour ‘21

Telecom operator Ooredoo has partnered with Maldives Water Sports Association to become the digital partner for the Maldives Jet Ski Tour 2021. 

Maldives Jet Ski Tour 2021 is an event organized by Maldives Water Sports Association to celebrate Tourism Day – and aims to make a record by touring from the northern end to the southern end of Maldives on jet skis. 

The tour began from HA. Thuraakunu with a 13-member team on Wednesday. 

The 13-member team includes six experienced jet ski riders, three stand-ins in case any of the riders need to be replaced, and members who will follow the riders via speedboat. 

The team reached R. Rasmaadhoo on Thursday morning, and will next travel to Lh. Naifaru – a journey which Ooredoo estimates will take approximately 13 hours. 

The team will make stops in one island from each atoll during their tour. 

The tour is scheduled to conclude on September 27 - on World Tourism Day.

Safety and security at the event is managed by Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).
