Monitoring measures lifted at Kulhudhuffushi after 17 days

Monitoring measures at Kulhudhuffushi City announced in relation to the COVID-19 have been lifted today, after 17 days.

Kulhudhuffushi was brought under monitoring mechanisms on July 24 – after a 13-year-old had tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking to Sun today, Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif had confirmed that they have been informed by HPA that monitoring mechanisms have been lifted.

“HPA had informed that monitoring mechanisms were lifted tonight. After Kulhudhuffushi was placed under monitoring on July 24 – a total of 1,124 random samples have been taken from the city. Along with direct contacts, the total amount of samples taken within these 17 days amount to 1,783,” Athif had said.

At present, there are 47 active cases in the city.
