Rishfa re-appointed as Employment Tribunal member following expiration of tenure

Following the expiration of her tenure as a full-time member to the Employment Tribunal – Mariyam Rishfa has been re-appointed by the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Rishfa was re-appointed as a full-time member to the Employment Tribunal during a special ceremony held at the President’s Office this afternoon.

During this ceremony, Rishfa was presented the letter of appointment by the President – and her oath was administered by High Court Judge Shuaib Hussain Zakariyya.

Rishfa holds a Master of Shariah and a Bachelor of Shariah and Law from Villa College and an Honors Degree of Bachelor of Islamic Studies from the Maldivian College of Islamic Studies.

She was first appointed to the Employment Tribunal in 2016.

Rishfa has also served as a part-time lecturer at the Maldives National University.
