COVID-19 death toll in the Maldives rises to 185

A COVID-19 patient has passed away in the Maldives. 

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that the individual was a Maldivian female receiving treatment for COVID-19 at the Hulhumale' Hospital. 

The individual passed away at 19:40 tonight, according to HPA, and was aged 41. 

This is the third death related to the virus today and the 185th death in total in the Maldives. 

The past month of May saw the Maldives record the highest number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic with over 80 deaths. As May ended and June began, death rates in the nation have now subsided somewhat.
