Civil Service Commission (CSC) has made an announcement on Tuesday seeking applications for the post of Health Protection Agency (HPA)’s Director General of Public Health.
The Director General of Public Health is a senior government post with authority over final decisions on public health matters. The position was vacated following the retirement of Maimoona Aboobakuru on January 8.
Maimoona, who showcased exemplary leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, retired in accordance with the stipulated policies, citing personal reasons.
CSC, on Tuesday, made an announcement seeking applications to fill the vacant post.
The post, which is ranked level 10 in public service, comes with a basic salary of MVR 21,844 and multiple allowances, including a post allowance of MVR 12, 534 and an attendance allowance of MVR 339 for each day reported to work.
The individual selected for the post will be working in Health Services and Health Policy Department.
To qualify for the position, applicants must satisfy the basic requirements, possess relevant education and experience, and hold a preferred discipline certificate. Selection will be based on performance in an exam, presentation, and interview.
The deadline for applications has been set for 14:00pm on next week’s Wednesday.
