Universities, colleges instructed to conduct online classes

Universities and colleges in the capital Male' area have been instructed to conduct classes online as COVID-19 cases in the nation increase. 

A signed order by the Director-General of Public Health Maimoona Aboobakuru issued today read that the order is to be imposed until further notice. 

The measure was taken to stop and control the spread of the virus.

The order follows similar orders on government offices and businesses to carry out work online and without physically attending the workplace. 

Male' City is also under a curfew from 21:00 to 4:00
