Maldives unveils logo to celebrate 50 years of tourism

Tourism Ministry has unveiled the logo which will be used in events to celebrate 50 years of tourism in Maldives in 2022.

The logo was unveiled in a virtual event on Wednesday afternoon by Mohamed Umar Manik, the Chairman of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) who played an instrumental role in introducing tourism in Maldives in back in the 1970s.

The event was also attended by other tourism industry pioneers Health Minister Ahmed Naseem, MATI’s Vice Chairman Hussain Afeef, and Ahmed Mujthaba – who serves as Maldives’ first Tourism Minister.

The tourism golden jubilee logo was designed by Ahmed Nashath and Mohamed Azlif, and symbolizes Maldives’ rich environment, culture and heritage.

Tourism Ministry has decided to celebrate 2022 as the golden year of tourism in Maldives.

The logo unveiled this Wednesday will be used in the celebrations.
