GoAir commences Male'-Hyderabad operations

GoAir has commenced direct flights between Male’ City, Maldives, and Hyderabad, India.

GoAir had announced previously that the airline will be operating four weekly flights between Male’ and Hyderabad. The flights will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The airline will be using its Airbus A320neo for the flights. The airline currently operates flights between Male’ and three Indian cities; Bangalore, Mumbai, and New Delhi.

India is a key source market for tourist arrivals to the Maldives. The country was the top source market for tourist arrivals in 2020, and the second top source market tourist arrivals so far this year. More than 60,000 Indian tourists visited the Maldives last year, and over 23,000 have visited the Maldives so far this year.

Currently, four Indian airlines operate direct flights between Maldives and India. They are GoAir, SpiceJet, IndiGo, and Air India.
