COVID-19: Maldives records 53rd virus death

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that a COVID-19 patient hospitalized in the DH11 Facility OF Dharumavantha Hospital in Male' City has passed away.

HPA identified the deceased as a 70-year-old Maldivian male.

The time of death was recorded at 15:42.

“This is the 53rd COVID-19 death in the Maldives,” announced HPA.

Maldives has 16,155 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 99 new cases recorded last night. 152 of the patients are hospitalized.

This is the second virus death in two days.
