Man stabbed in neck in Male' City

A man has been stabbed in Asaree Hingun of Male' City. 

Sun has learned through sources that the victim is a male Maldivian who was stabbed in the neck. His injuries are reported to be not critical and is receiving treatment at IGMH hospital. 

Police confirmed that the attack was reported around 21:15 and that the victim is a 36-year old man. 

A violent altercation was also observed near the Raalhugandu area of Male' City earlier tonight. It is unknown if the incidents are related. It is reported that the attackers used sharp objects during the violent altercation.

Police also confirmed the incident reported around 19:35 tonight. The violence was reported near the King Salman Mosque. No further details were provided by the police.
