No obstacles left to contesting in Primary: Umar Naseer

Vice President of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Umar Naseer has said that he will make a decision soon, about contesting in the party’s Primary Election to elect a presidential candidate.

Umar made this statement last night, upon arrival in Maldives after completing his Master of Business Administration course from a UK University in Singapore.

He said that he had delayed the decision on contesting in PPM’s Primary until now because he had been pursuing his studies.

Umar said that it is very likely that he would contest in the Primary.

PPM will hold its Primary in February. So far, the only candidate who has expressed interest in contesting in the election is Mulaku MP Abdullah Yameen.
