Two airlines from Ukraine – flag carrier Ukraine International Airlines and Azur Air Ukraine - have launched charter flights to Maldives.
The operations come with Ukraine among the top ten source markets for tourist arrivals to Maldives since it reopened its borders.
5,036 tourist arrivals from Ukraine have been recorded by December 26.
The first charter flight from Ukraine International Airlines carried 277 passengers to Maldives, while the first charter flight from Azur Air Ukraine carried 311 passengers.
Azur Air Ukraine is scheduled to operate a weekly flight to Maldives on every Saturday until the end of March.
Ukraine is located near Russia which is appearing to be the top source market for tourist arrivals to Maldives since border reopening.
Over 77,000 tourists have visited Maldives so far this December, 153,403 tourists have visited Maldives since it reopened its borders in July, increasing total tourist arrivals this year to 536,250.
