After almost a month in recess, Parliament to reconvene tomorrow

After almost one month in recess, the Parliament will reconvene tomorrow.

The first sitting of the last term for 2020, is scheduled tomorrow. Tomorrow’s sitting will be started with the Ministerial questioning session of Planning and Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam. The session was requested by MP for Maavashu Mohamed Saeed. 

Apart from Presidential issues, the parliament is also scheduled for the appointment of members to the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives. 

The first readings of three bills are also scheduled for tomorrow. They include an amendment to classify unjust enrichment as a crime, amendments to the Human Rights Commission Act, and an amendment by Vilufushi MP Hassan Afeef.
