Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has opened applications for two vacancies at the High Court.
The two vacancies were left in the wake of the resignation of High Court’s chief judge Shujau Usman and judge Hassan Ali. They had resigned following JSC’s decision to request for impeachment motions against them upon conclusion of investigations against them for misconduct.
JSC had posted a previous announcement for applications to fill the vacancy left with Hassan Ali’s resignation, but in a statement on Sunday, announced that it has cancelled the previous announcement due to insufficient number of applications, and is reopening applications for two vacancies.
JSC has instructed candidates who submitted their applications in response to the previous announcement to re-submit their applications.
JSC has asked qualified candidates who submit applications by 02:00 pm on September 8. Applications, along with other relevant documents, needs to be emailed to JSC at [email protected].
Candidates who already submitted their applications in response to the previous announcement are not required to submit additional documents, other than the application form.
