In order to prepare students for the A’ Level and AS examinations, the Education Ministry has announced that students of Grades 11, 12 in Male’ City are to attend schools for education.

Under the easement to the lockdown order in the capital, schools were officially reopened on July 1 under the safety measures of the new normal initiative. However, due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, schools were once again closed after the Eid holidays and online classes are being conducted.

Education Ministry announced today that students preparing to sit for the A’ level and AS examinations are once again to attend schools for education. Students from other grades are to continue on with online classes.

The reason for the change is due to the impending examinations for the students. The Ministry has already pushed back the A’ level examinations scheduled for May/June to October/November this year.
