COVID-19: Maldives confirms 24 positive cases, 17 recoveries

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 24 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 2,361

According to HPA, the new cases are;

  • 11 locals
  • 07 Bangladeshi nationals
  • 06 Indian national

Meanwhile, 17 more COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24-hours, increasing total recoveries to 1,944 people.

The new developments mean that the Maldives now has 403 active cases.

There are 275 people in isolation facilities, and 134 people in quarantine facilities.

50,336 samples, including repeated samples, have been taken by health authorities to conduct coronavirus testing.
