COVID-19 test arrangements to be made in Kulhudhuffushi

National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has announced that COVID-19 testing arrangements would be made in the northern city of Kulhudhuffushi as well.

NEOC spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez said today that testing facilities would be arranged in the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital within 10 days. A PCR machine would be arranged at the hospital for testing.

The machine will be able to process 100-150 tests per day. 

A PCR machine w2ill also be established in the Southern city of Addu within ten days as well. 

Two lab technicians have been trained for the purpose of both cities. They will begin serving after completing their quarantine period after traveling to the islands. The government has also announced that a PCR machine will be established on the island of B. Eydhafushi, central Maldives.
