Human remains have been discovered in a beach in Th. Kandoodhoo.
Kandoodhoo Council’s vice president Mohamed Nawaz told Sun the remains were discovered by a local resident who went to the beach, at around noon this Thursday.
The human remains were found on the beach area at the southern end of Kandoodhoo.
Nawaz said the beach area lay near the mangrove forest of the island, and was not frequented by local residents.
The human remains found on the beach have been reported to the police.
“We have informed the police. We have left the bones untouched,” said Nawaz.
The human remains found in Kandoodhoo include part of a human skull and some other bones.
